ABSTRACT

The case presented in this chapter demonstrates an end-of-season feedback situation requiring a team coach to respond to the players’ perspectives and her supervisor’s requirements. The case presents performance and organizational issues which expose students to typical contexts in college sport. It is normal for coaches to have feedback from and interviews with all their athletes at the end of each season. It is also customary for administrators supervising coaches to provide feedback. This case shows this process and the follow-up with a sport psychology consultant.
