The author introduces a document, "Draft Program for Prim ary and Middle Schools in Chinese Countryside," released by Hsinhua News Agency, Weekly News (Peking), May 13, 1969. The author notes that "the draft program" is a resu lt of studies undertaken in North China by the revolutionary committee of Lishu County in Kirin Province. The committee notes that this is a 'discussion draft,' and that a variety of people were involved in its formulation.
