Growth and Equity Effects of Demographic Change in Industrial Economies

Demographic change is forecast to bring more differentiated forms of household composition in industrial countries. Although the need to explore the economic consequences of a changing demography has been felt by many economists such explorations still find themselves at an early stage. Most research in this area is concerned with formulating the problem rather than producing solid results on the economy-wide impact of demographic differentiation.
