ABSTRACT

Human capital for Fazia intersected with her unwaged role as a mother, as a carrier of cultural values (Yuval Davis, 1992), as a resource for future ambitions and a recognition of the modern technological world in which she inevitably lived. The concept of employability was multifaceted, with an eye on many fronts. Fazia's own efforts to re-skill herself with human capital was already interfacing with her multiple relationships with globalisation, citizenship and social capital.
