ABSTRACT
Creativity is the forerunner of innovation. Creativity is about ideas. Innovation is about the implementation of those ideas. Organizations need to seek ideas, a lot of ideas, millions of ideas, if not billions of ideas. Leadership needs to stimulate the offering up of ideas, gather the ideas, process the ideas, set the direction for the ideas that will be implemented, align the proper resources to ensure successful implementation, and ensure that the ideas will be implemented. Leadership must establish an environment for ideas and innovation and institute a process for managing ideas from inception to implementation.
