The chapter focuses on local grounding, and embodiment of integral development, individually and communally in the relational "south". The Calabash of Knowledge, as Mamukwa has termed it, is the result of an action research project, via so-called cooperative inquiry (Heron, 1996) that she carried out when she was Human Resource Director at Turnall Holdings, a manufacturing company in Harare. The idea was to come up with an innovation that would enhance the learning orientation of her organization as a whole and promote knowledge transfer, as well as the improvement and the outright creation of new knowledge.
