ABSTRACT

The fundamental problem, which the world faces today, is the rapidly increasing pressure of population on the resources of land. Today India is facing the same problem with the tremendous growth of population expected to swell to 1,000 million by the turn of the century. Large parts of our country are lying waste due to various reasons such as, salinity and alkalinity, soil erosion, water logging, weeds infestation etc. All these lands are characterised by some kind of deficiency and non availability of micronutrients (Singh, 1985).
