ABSTRACT

The young teenager quickly grows up and becomes the young adult shopper. This group represents another demographic that is worth paying attention to. As teens enter the years of young adulthood, many enter the workforce and so they become a major shopping force. One of the most difficult challenges for the young single demographic is trying to stay in style. They are suddenly cut off from the information networks that exist in high school and find it challenging to keep up with the latest trends in fashion. A big retail area that is going unexploited by businesses is in the international travel of the young single demographic. One of the biggest areas to which the young single demographic will direct its expenditures is with respect to entertainment. Self-esteem, and feelings of self-worth and confidence, are associated with this generation's lifestyle gear and self-image.
