ABSTRACT

This subjective evaluation of the people shows us, firstly, the big difference of negative or positive judgement, respectively, between the urban and peri-urban areas (with the exception of the judgement of waste removal and health facilities), secondly, it shows us a significant difference between peri-urban and rural areas but only as far as housing and sanitation are concerned; the judgement of housing being the only highly significant difference. Water supply and waste removal are judged much more positively in the villages. The evaluation of transport, primary schools, and medical facilities is more or less equal between peri-urban areas and villages, at least there is no statistically significant difference.
