ABSTRACT

The goal of this chapter is to examine how a WS position of power determines the definition of terrorism. Three countries, the U.S., USSR, and Cameroon are used as case studies. Each represents a different WS position. Finally, suggestion will be provided on the need for a paradigm shift in the study of terrorism within criminology.
