ABSTRACT
In the feminist critique ofreproductive technologies, it is not technology as an "artificial invasion o f the human body ” that is at issue-but whether we can create the political and cultural conditions in which such technologies can be employed by women to shape the experience o f reproduction according to their own definitions.
