Is your purpose... Implications for your notes for future revision ? Must be understandable after a long time lapse, contain all main points, be easy to follow. for an assignment? Must be accurate, may need to be detailed, able to be sorted to help structure the assignment. Not so important to understand them after a long time lapse (though you may need to use them again for other assignments). for others to use (eg in group work)? Must be legible, use abbreviations and words others will understand. to help you concentrate? I f they are not going to be used later, all that matters is helping you focus now. as a record (eg minutes, lab notes, interview notes)?
