ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the structure of rural mental health care on the local level. It looks at the effects of urbanormative thinking on rural life, the structure of rural local governments, the origin and purpose of the Community Services Board (CSB) on the county level, as well as the origin and goals of the Community Mental Health Clinics (CMHC).
