ABSTRACT

This chapter will contain an overview of cases in consensus-planning practice as examined in more detail by Woltjer (1998a). It will picture consensus planning connected with situations and processes of infrastructure, transportation, and water management. For this purpose, policy documents and newspaper articles have been studied and project managers have been interviewed. Accordingly, more than fifteen projects associated with infrastructure development have been studied. This chapter will give an impression of some striking problems and successes in actual consensus planning for the cases as illustrated in Figure 5.1.
