ABSTRACT
So far I have said very little about Kolnai’s developing political interests. I shall, therefore, say a little more about this aspect of his life during the war years, prefacing it with a brief account of Hungarian liberalism, and the main institutions which helped to form the young radicals of Kolnai’s generation.
