ABSTRACT

This chapter reviews the research findings, summarizing the major conclusions that reached from the empirical study. It highlights the implications for research and practice. The chapter analyses a data sample composed of 353 mid and low level employees from European companies from a range of industries in order to empirically prove or disprove the eight hypotheses. The data were analyzed using multiple logit analyses, Chi-square test of differences, likelihood ratio tests, and descriptive statistics procedures. The organizational behavior and innovation literature asserts that supervisors can help employees learn that a different set of responses are necessary and that the organization will support employee activities that involve searching for better business responses. The chapter discusses the possible implications from the research for businesses that want to harness employee ideas in order to increase the sustainability of their activities. The empirical findings demonstrate the contribution that are made for measuring the differentiated impact of factors affecting employee eco-initiatives.
