ABSTRACT
Our task in this project was to assess the relative sustainability of economic alternatives for the state of Kentucky. In large part, the project drew on available predictions of possible economic futures to structure our economic projections and scenarios. We focused the environmental assessment of economic possibilities on the issues of importance to current policy makers. Both the forecasting process we designed and the key issues we analyzed responded to the policy context and to the interests of policy makers.
