ABSTRACT
Chapter two was devoted to establishing a conceptual framework of citizenship capable of including new practices. In my final summary, I cited the general concern with reconciling the two: a plurality of forms of participation and a common citizenship. It is precisely in such a context that this chapter sets out to review the main aspects of multiculturalism as a subject matter for social theory.
