ABSTRACT

This chapter extends the cross-country comparative analysis of social accounting matrices of the previous chapter to more dimensions and more countries. The chapter aims to highlight common results encountered in simulating the effects of injections in sectoral activities on the output of the sectoral activities themselves, and on the incomes of different household groups. This will enable the relationship between economic growth and income distribution in the countries studied to be traceable. The comparative analysis also aims at studying the effect of transfers to specific household groups on economic growth and income distribution among the household groups.
