ABSTRACT
Currently in the United Kingdom, 69 people die every week and 6208 are injured in many potentially avoidable road crashes. Successive Ministers for Transport and Roads have toyed with various options to reduce road deaths, but unfortunately Ministers for Transport are transient and rarely see their programmes through to completion due to changes in the government cabinet.
