ABSTRACT

This chapter provides several pointers to make sure that presenter's presentation enhances their content and does not hinder it. Poor presenting skills exist at the highest level and that content can get lost in the presentation itself. For presentations, it is recommended to use a typical PowerPoint size font or larger. For posters, it will depend on the size of the poster. However, if the presenter is made their poster using PowerPoint, they can print a test page, and it will display the actual size of the text. Bullets can serve to keep content limited on a slide, but the danger is placing too many bullets on one slide. It is recommended to proofread the presentation by presenter to avoid typos. Also, remember to run spellcheck, as it may pick up one or two things that they missed. Thus, a slide is used to summarize the main points of the presentation that suggest future avenues for research.
