ABSTRACT

Geographically, the Arab states do not constitute a separate region. However, historical, linguistic, religious, cultural and political factors have contributed, throughout history, to endowing them with common traits. Those traits have obliged the world to look upon the Arab states as a separate region, although they are located in both Asia and Africa. Nevertheless, the links between Arab states are much stronger than the links between each of them and the part of the world to which they belong.
