ABSTRACT
This chapter builds a picture of Continuous Improvement (Cl) within UK manufacturing, based on a postal survey carried out in late 1995 in conjunction with Findlay Publications. After the presentation of the general picture, firms at different stages of Cl maturity are examined. Finally, some of the main similarities and differences between the UK sample and the European and Australian samples are highlighted.
