ABSTRACT

The contemporary process of globalization increases interest in internaI tional comparative research seeking to find a possible scenario for the development of the global world. One of the most interesting aspects of globalization is the process of cultural globalization, which is closely conI nected to the change in the existing value systems. What will be the value system of the global world of the coming 21st century? What will happen to it when the communications system being developed allows people to live in a common information space, consume the same products, perceive the same cultural symbols? How will different value systems and cultures interact in conditions of greater openness, more frequent contacts and new forms of cooperation?
