ABSTRACT
This article seeks to describe occupational images and goals of adolescents living in Joensuu, in Finnish Karelia, and Petrozavodsk, in Russian Karelia. We analyse how young people classify occupations, the cognitive map of occupations they have in their minds, and how they see their probable future occupations.
