ABSTRACT

The basic strategic slogans of the Party, that retain their validity during the whole period of any particular stage of the revolution, cannot be regarded as basic slogans if they are not fully and completely founded on this cardinal thesis of Lenin. The slogan of the Party in the period of preparation of the Socialist revolution he formulated as follows: The proletariat must bring about the Socialist revolution and secure the adhesion of the mass of semi-proletarian elements of the population in order to crush the resistance of the bourgeoisie by force and paralyse the instability of the peasantry and the petty-bourgeoisie. Consequently, the strategic slogans of our Party cannot be judged from the point of view of episodical successes or defeats of the revolutionary movement in any particular period, nor, still more, from the point of view of the times or forms of realising any particular demands that arise out of those slogans.
