ABSTRACT

The Radon transformation is one of a variety of methods for extracting and forming a vector of characteristic features. Transformation and description of the image based on parallel shift technology (PST) can be carried out by two methods: description of the image using the function of the area of intersection (FAI) and description of the image by means of quantitative characteristics of the basic properties of the received FAI. Recognition in the first method of description consists of a sequential search and simultaneous comparison of all the FAI numbers with the numbers of the template FAI that are stored in the template storage unit. Analysis of the obtained values shows that the first and second methods are applicable for determining the discontinuities in the image. For each image of a symbol or word to the input of the image recognition system, the standard FAIs are formed in the form of codes that are written into the memory of the standards.
