ABSTRACT

The goal of every IT organization is to furnish its business partners with the technical capabilities they need to increase their company’s revenues and expand its profitability. To achieve these lofty goals, IT needs to develop a detailed understanding of the inner workings of individual business functions. More specifically, IT needs to be educated about the processes employed to support daily business operations, the challenges their functional colleagues encounter in performing their duties, and the nature of business initiatives being contemplated by functional leaders.
