ABSTRACT

Why do so many individuals who work so hard to achieve IT leadership roles continue to perform many aspects of their old jobs when they are promoted into positions of greater responsibility? Yet when they are promoted into a role with broad leadership potential they fail to use it as a developmental opportunity and largely ignore the prerogatives associated with their new position.
