ABSTRACT
This chapter addresses recent Chinese attitudes toward nuclear non-proliferation. In particular, it discusses China's policies and efforts in nuclear export control, its stance on a possible fissile cut-off treaty, its consistent call for complete prohibition and thorough destruction of nuclear weapons, and its unconditional provision of both positive and negative security assurances.
