ABSTRACT

In my booklet Foundations of Leninism I say:

Some think that the essential foundation of Leninism, its starting-point, is the peasant problem, the role of the peasantry, the importance of the peasantry. This is absolutely wrong. The essential foundation of Leninism, its starting-point, is the question of the dictatorship of the proletariat, the question how that dictatorship is to be established and strengthened. The peasant problem, the question how the workers in their struggle for power are to secure the support of the peasants, is a subsidiary one.
