ABSTRACT

In our day and age, progress is increasingly perceived as growth with consideration of the well-being of stakeholders: immediate and distant, human and nonhuman. Awareness about carbon footprints, environmental responsibility, and spiritual behavior, as advancement strategies, is rapidly winning ground in the aftermath of a turbulent first decade of the 21st century, with numerous exposures of those who engaged in self-centered progress. This chapter will lay the foundation toward linking the notions of (individual) moral behavior to the larger scheme of (corporate) social responsibility. The global context and cross-cultural issues will be observed within the discussion.
