ABSTRACT

My professional interest in the subject of diversity and inclu-sion is reflected in our decades of work helping companies create inclusive environments. I believe diversity and inclusion-D& I-provide an important lens for understanding work-life balance. I have seen how inattention to work-life balance has created a barrier to achieving diversity and inclusion goals. For leaders, I know this is a pressing issue as you attempt to create market differentiation and expand into new markets. I have devoted this chapter to inclusion and how work-life balance can either foster or challenge an inclusion initiative.
