ABSTRACT

Hello everyone! Bob Jones coming to you once again with a program of the people, by the people, and for the people because it gives people a chance to "Talk to me!" It's good to be in God's Country on the banks of the Mississippi, and let me say how especially good I feel being here tonight with Christmas just around the corner. This is my favorite time of the year and I'm sure that's true for most of my listeners out there. But speaking of listeners, let's get right to your phone calls. Hello caller, you're on the air. Talk to me! Bob? Hello? Yes caller, I hear you. Talk to me! My name is Hank Tucker and I just want to say ... by the way I agree with you about Christmas but that's not why I called. I've been thinking about something and I'd like to get if off my chest. Go ahead, that's why we're on the air. Talk to me! Now here's my question-why doesn't anybody ask what they will give? With them it's always take, take, take. That's a good point, Hank. Everyone should have to give something back to this great country. Of course, some people will say that a lot of the money spent on welfare goes to children, and they have to grow up first before we can expect them to give some back. I know. I know. People are always talking about the kids on welfare. Fine! But some of them are old enough to work, so what I want to know is-why aren't they working? I had a job when I was a kid, what's wrong with them? They're lazy, that's
