ABSTRACT
Advances in computer technology and increasing global access to the Internet are
suggesting novel classroom approaches for professional communication teachers
around the world. Both a society’s need to educate informed and thoughtful
members and a student’s need to find gainful employment in a globalizing work-
force characterized by the growing presence of transnational distributed work can
be addressed through collaborative online projects with a focus on comparative
digital cultures.
