ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: On the basis of the main structure of the tunnel of Beijing metro line 14, this study focused on the optimization of tunnel support parameters under complicated geological conditions. This study first evaluates the engineering geological conditions related to construction risk. Then, it applies finite difference software FLAC3D in the simulation of tunnel excavation. In the process of Cross Diaphragm (CRD) excavation, the characteristics of the surrounding rocks with and without supporting structures were analyzed. The length and spacing of anchors, row spacing, and the thickness of spray layer were set as variables in this study. The optimum scheme was obtained by the orthogonal tests. The results not only provide technical guidance for the construction of Beijing metro line 14, but will also provide valuable references for similar future projects.
