ABSTRACT

Visual thinking begins with the assumption that concepts and topics can be represented visually and that this approach to organizing them helps learning. Radial diagrams like webs and mind maps are especially useful because they correspond to traditional outlines. This trait makes them the perfect bridge between nonlinear tasks (like brainstorming and formulating ideas) and linear tasks (like writing) because they allow learners to use both divergent and convergent thinking to process information. The next big question we will answer is how to do it.
