ABSTRACT
As the subject is, of course, very large, it will not be possible to develop all its aspects. I will concentrate mainly on Latin lexicography and its techniques. This paper can be divided into three main parts: 1) a short historical survey of lexicography in the Mid dle Ages; 2) an analysis of the techniques involved; and 3) some notes on the vocabu lary used by the lexicographers to describe their own work.
