ABSTRACT
The Austrian Catholic theologian Anton Günther (1783-1863) remains one of the great unexplored sources in Kierkegaard’s authorship. Although Kierkegaard owned several of Günther’s works and all evidence indicates that he read them carefully, there has been to date no detailed study of this relation.
