ABSTRACT

The Danish word Logik is derived from the Latin logica and the Greek λογική (elliptical for ἡ λογικὴ τέχνη, with an adjective derived from λόγος). As Molbech defines it, logic is the science or knowledge of thinking.1 In the words of Ordbog over det danske Sprog, logic is the science or knowledge of the principles and forms of human thinking, specifically of the rules of valid inferences.2
