ABSTRACT

Large group processes have the capacity to transform organizations, because they are dynamic and involve large numbers. Often, however, outside facilitators will not know the impact of an event, unless they are invited back for a subsequent event. Moreover, some outcomes take time to percolate through an organization and grow legs. Sometimes senior management retreats from this noble experiment, returning to the comfort of a top-down world. Accordingly, it is not always clear what the impact of one or more events has on an organization unless you are an inhouse facilitator.
