ABSTRACT
My aim in this chapter is to explore further some of the implications of the urban
shifts that we have observed in the previous chapter. We will now look at the way
people relate to one another (sociology) and how diverse cities and societies should be
governed (political philosophy and governance policies) in relation to understandings
of hybridity.
