ABSTRACT
Allfarmingsystemsdependvariouslyonfourcategoriesorstagesofsolar energyasincomingradiationorinsolation.Firststageenergyisdirect insolationasthisisreceivedinspecificwavelengths(theelectromagnetic spectrum)andmodifiedbyearth'satmosphereandoperatingmostnotably throughplantphotosynthesisforgrowthandproduction(equation1below). Secondstageenergyconsistsofinsolationrearrangedatmacrolevelas climateandweather.Atthirdstagethismaytoaminorormajordegreebe furtherarrangedasmicroclimatebytheplantsthemselvesoneachfarm. Themicroparametersofheat,light,temperature,humidityetcare discussedbelow.Thepossibilitiesformakingthisfurtherrefinementvary accordingtotypeoffarmingsystem.Theyaregreatinpolycultures, especiallyindiversemixesoftree-palm-bush-vinespeciesasonforest gardensbutnegligibleinmono-fieldcropsystems(architecturebelow).
