Not only have we said so above, but it also stands to reason that for a single kingdom and a single people it is essential to establish a single parliament. By its very nature the union cannot be brought into being in any other way, nor was it anywhere ever otherwise, nOT will it ever be, that there may be in one kingdom and amongst one people a plurality ofparliaments, especially if each one is to be equal in authority.
