ABSTRACT

This is the shortest format into which your business plan might conceivably be compressed. It is the proverbial ‘elevator pitch’ made in writing, useful, in particular, in sounding out interest or preparing first contacts. Its format is very similar to the executive summary heading up the fullreport version of the business plan. There is something to be said for preparing that summary such that it could be used, without change, for the purposes of a stand-alone overview. It is most effective if it is kept to one page and takes no more than two minutes to absorb.
