ABSTRACT

A number of cultural, social and organizational factors define the aviatlOn workplace for women. These factors should be understood if women are going to successfully participate in the aviation industry. Given that the industry intends to tap all the potential talent available, further investigation is needed on how women learn and progress in career development. With the advent of women on flight decks, the study of gender differences becomes essential in order to facilitate communication and conduct commercial air travel in the safest, most efficient manner.
