ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the methodology used in a comparative project to contrast the approach that judges adopt when sentencing for dwelling house burglary in England and Wales, and Finland. This chapter also describes the pilot study with judges in England and contrasts the differences in the way burglars are sentenced in Finland.
