ABSTRACT
The basic data quality requirements for a Scientific Information System involve the source and type of data in each database plus the linkages among the databases that are required for effective use. Additionally, data security or special data handling may be required for legal or contractual reasons. Finally, the basic integrity of the data must be ensured in preparation for scientific analyses of data quality.
