ABSTRACT

The previous two chapters covered the basic methods for evaluating and modifying simple theories and for identifying and solving simple problems. The information in the SIS also facilitates the use of much more advanced and sophisticated methods for evaluating theories and solving problems. Some advanced methods focus on stable structures in the target system. Basic examples of these methods are covered in this chapter. Other advanced methods focus on the dynamic, changing aspects of the target system. Those methods are covered in the Chapters 7 and 8.
