ABSTRACT

The argument of the previous seven chapters has been that the range of issues associated with globalization has a direct impact upon the subject matter of practical theology. Before bringing this to a conclusion by examining whether or not attempting to construct a global ethics and, specifically, an ethics determined or influenced by Christianity, is an appropriate response to this, it is necessary to review the general contours of the discussion. once this has been done it will become clear how this topic is to be approached. In particular, it needs to be understood how the interlocking themes of blurred boundaries, enclosures and thresholds, and then versions of reflexivity, including a spiritual reflexivity, contribute to this task.
